St. Johannes Lutheran Church, located in the historic Ansonborough district of downtown Charleston, South Carolina, is a community of faith and prayer.  We provide time for worship, space for silence, commitment to ecumenism, and inclusive love and care for all people that they may discover the heart of God in the heart of the city.

DIRECTIONS

St. Johannes Lutheran Church is located on the corner of Anson and Hasell Streets  ~  one block north of Market Street  ~  between East Bay Street and Meeting Street.  

From Highway 17 South: Cross the Ashley River Bridge onto the peninsula of Charleston; stay in the right lane coming off of the bridge onto Lockwood Boulevard.  Lockwood will turn to the left and become Broad Street.  Continue on Broad through several lights to the intersection of Broad and Meeting Streets.  Turn left onto Meeting and continue several blocks to the intersection of Meeting and Hasell Streets.  Take a right on Hasell.  The church is one block on the left, with parking available in the small lot across from the church and on the street.

From Highway 17 North:  Cross the Cooper River Bridge and proceed to Meeting Street.  Turn left on Meeting Street.  Continue on Meeting Street past Calhoun Street to Hasell Street.  Turn left on Hasell Street.  The church is one block on the left, with parking available in the small lot across from the church and on the street.

From I-26:  Continue to the end of I-26 and follow the signs to Mt. Pleasant.  At the top of the exit ramp, veer off to the right toward East Bay Street.  Turn right on East Bay, and continue past the intersection at Calhoun Street.  There will be a Harris Teeter store on the left.  Turn right onto Hasell Street at the light at the Harris Teeter.  The church is one block on the right, with parking available in the small lot across from the church on on the street.
